Episode 82: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight

Published on July 17th, 2012

We look at how Batman Begins works so well with mediocre action sequences, why Nolan doesn’t seem to like having women characters, how Heath Ledger’s performance in The Dark Knight is so good it might actually be detrimental to the film, and what techniques Nolan and company use to build their blockbusters in a way that makes you leave the theatre wanting to fight crime. Also, Alex briefly loses his mind while talking about the final scene in Batman Begins.
