This week we recorded a vanity podcast, discussing one of our favourite unseen movies, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. We discuss the good and bad elements of the movie, and look at how it reflects the death of the movie star, as well as analyze what the film says about fame and anonymity. Also, there is laughter sometimes.

Here’s a moderately funny spoof on The Scene in The Assassination of Jesse James, but this version stars Yogi Bear and Boo Boo.
CORRECTIONS: We mention that Casey Affleck was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Gone Baby Gone. This is not true. He was, however, nominated as Best Supporting Actor for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which we mention. Also, Alex refers to cinematographer Roger Deakins as Richard Deakins, which is incorrect. Trust us, Alex is still getting over the emotional pain of his mistake.
