Beauty pageants, Hilary Duff, Zoe Saldana, and… Darren Aronofsky? It must be recap time!
MONDAY – James begins his look at what makes a movie timeless, which will be concluded on Monday. How does a movie become timeless, and be remembered as such?
TUESDAY – Alex forgoes any chances of ever being viewed as manly again by writing about the career of the recently-impregnated Hilary Duff. Alex explains why he is still interested in Hilskie (despite not really being at all), and tells you how it feels to find a flooded email inbox after a Disney starlet gets impregnated.
WEDNESDAY – James recommends a female-centric movie that isn’t about a guy at all! Check out his recommendation of Drop Dead Gorgeous, and if you run into the crew from Cops, tell them we say hi.
THURSDAY – You asked, so you received. The Man with the Mustache, Darren Aronofsky, is back, and we’re talking about his films The Wrestler and Black Swan. Theories about the Black Swan ending, Mickey Rourke’s Mickey Rourkeness, and Arononfsky’s cinematographer abound. We also look at a bunch of films Aronofsky came close to making.
FRIDAY – Alex writes about the mediocre Zoe Saldana film Colombiana, and how the environment we watch movies in is often just as important as what we are actually watching.
