We tried something a little different this week. We begin the episode discussing the 2000 film X-Men, and how it set out the template for the modern superhero genre. Then we jump ahead fourteen years to discuss the newest installment, Days of Future Past. We look at how the climax of the movie is a conversation, that perfect Quicksilver sequence, Magneto and Xavier’s fascinating relationship, and the fact that this is a superhero movie without a clear cut villain. We also discuss all the JFK bombshells, because how can you not?
